On Sept 27th I brought my vehicle to South Orlando to - LR
On Sept 27th I brought my vehicle to South Orlando to check on the drivers seat for a repair that was under warranty. I decided that since my car had to stay there for two days (which turned into 10days) that I should do an oil change. In the process they did a multi point inspection & recommended a variety of maintenance. I have never taken my vehicle for repairs anywhere else besides this dealership. I own a fully loaded 2020 RangeRover P525 HSE & want to make sure my truck is only touched by those that should know best. As prove of that, I will submit a photo of my receipt from a few weeks before the above date. I had a nail on my right front tire & though it was something simple, that can be repaired by any tire company for 10 dollars, I still took my truck to South Orlando, and paid 67 dollars, because again as stated before, I only wanted my truck to be touched by the experts! A week later I received the call that my truck was finally ready. As expected, when I went to pick up my truck after the seat repair, and service inspection based on their findings, I owed them close to $1200.00 , which I paid with no hesitation nor negotiations. I have submitted my invoice & you will see that basically it was all oil, filters & basic labor charges. I was extremely overcharged and though it says “customer states to perform or replace” on every paragraph, no one at the dealership went through all these individually & explained it to me. I basically just got a call with a total and was asked if It was okay to proceed. I never questioned it because again, they are the experts and should know what’s best! The service included tire rotations and other miscellaneous service considered necessary. As I proceed, please keep in mind that South Orlando has now worked on at my tires on at least two occasions. I now will fast forward to November 7th. On the above date, I was on I95 north returning from work and my right rear tire exploded, I lost control of my vehicle and basically, I am here by the grace of God. I have no idea, how I was able to come to a complete stop and pull my vehicle to the shoulder with out banging into the side rails of the highway & five cars crashing into me. Needless to say I was beyond shaken. I waited for help and an hour later of being stranded in a highway a road ranger came to my assistance and helped me. I explained to him what happened & the fact that I was in total shock because my car was serviced 5 weeks ago by the dealership and my tires were rotated & I paid close to $400 dollars for a wheel alignment. He looked at my rear tires & stated that my tires were bold & I needed new tires & that’s why this happened. After showing him my receipt as prove that my tires were recently checked he stated “ I believe someone dropped the ball because both your back tires have very little threading? and based on the fact that at the time of this receipt you had 32,500 miles and you now have close to 32,800 there’s no way this type of wear and tear happened in less than 300 miles, your tires were already in need of being replaced” With that being said, three hrs later after I arrived home I called South Orlando and spoke to Norris from service, who was already fully aware of my dilemma because my husband had called him. Norris from service never picked up the phone, which upset me because although it was 7:30pm he was aware of my situation. I proceeded to leave him a text message, which based on the content, he assumed correctly that it was best to call me back. We spoke and he said he would call me back on Friday to see “what they can do after he explained it to his director.“ Friday 4pm and I still had not received a call from Norris. I called the dealership & stated that I would like to speak to the director. I was switched to his voice mail and left a message, he never to this day has called. I received a call from Norris saying the car was inspected property and there is nothing they can do.I have since fixed my truck but South Orlando has not heard the last of me, do not service your vehicle here!
