BEWARE! - Ross
BEWARE! This dealership missed in every aspect. STAY CLEAR! Poor customer service, poor communication, sent my trade-in payoff check to the wrong bank, and slow.
Firstly, the buying process took 5 hours. Once complete, they asked me to rate them 5of5 in the follow-up survey and state that it only took 3!
During the final process of signing documents, I asked for the contract for the extra 10 year 100k mile (total of 20yr, 200k mi) warranty. They said they didn’t have one and it just comes with the car. Ha! If it’s not in writing, it doesn’t exist. They said they’d get it to me the next day. They didn’t even call the next day. I had to call them back and they finally emailed it to me.
Two weeks pass and I see that my bank still hadn’t received the pay-off check. I called the dealership and the salesman said he’d do some checking and call me back. Again, a day goes by with no word and I have to call them. No answer but another promise to call back. He did and said they sent the check. So I asked the natural follow-on questions of when, and what means? He didn’t know but would find out and let me know. A few days later, I get the answer that it was sent on the 16th via overnight means. Coincidentally, that was the day I initially asked about it (which was two weeks after the sale!).
Now, it’s a week after the day they sent it, so I call my bank to see if they have anything. Nope! No check and no calls from the dealership inquiring the details. So I call my salesman back asking again and to see if it got lost or something else. He again said he’d call the responsible department and call back in 20 minutes…silence for the rest of the day even after texting him to see what the word was.
The next day (today), I go in person to get answers. I’m met with reluctance to help by the F&I manager. I explained the situation and he calls the lady who handles it. She said they would have to track the original check which was mailed on the 16th to find out the details (shouldn’t this have been done initially when I brought up the issue!). Later this afternoon, I get a call from the F&I manager telling me they sent it to the wrong bank! They cancelled that check and sent a new check to my bank. So I ask if they recalculated the per diem since the check is getting there so much later. His response: “I hope so.” WHAT!? “I hope so”? I told him I’ve hoped for a lot with your dealership and have been left wanting. Can you verify that the change was made? Fortunately, he had the amount of the check there. It was for more, but was still $10 shy. But if $10 is the cost of getting rid of this dealership, it’s a tiny amount compared to the frustration of the poor management and horrid customer service of the place.
So again, go anywhere else (except their sister dealership in Greenbrier)!! The worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car.
