Good morning. My name is Jason Gillespie. I am almost 50. I’ve have loved LR’s all my life, and have always wanted one.
I retired from the Army 4 years ago, and was able to purchase one last year. It has been great. 2016 LR4.
The dashboard has been coming apart. Just the stitching. Then a small rock hit my windshield and cracked it across my line of line of site. I have needed a recall repaired, new brakes and rotors and an oil change. The windshield was broken July 21st.
My issue is that I have called several times to try to schedule these repairs. I have had no luck. My calls have not been returned, I have not been able to get in to have the recall repaired or any of the other things that need to be done specifically the windshield.
I live in Savannah so I travel to LR Hardeeville/Hilton Head South Carolina. Which is about an hour. So I can’t just drop in and face to face with someone. Although I have taken my LR there to be serviced before. No problems then. I have spoken with Leslie in the service department. She has not returned my calls. Our last conversation she was going to get a price on the windshield and call me back. That was the 4th time I had called her about this and had the same conversations each time. Very frustrating. I asked her not to forget about me. When she did, I called to speak with the manager Howard. He called and left a voicemail. I called him back and left a voicemail and I have not heard anything back from him. I have all my call records.
This is not the experience I wanted with LR. I am very very frustrated. My brakes are now shaking and the crack in the windshield has spread from one side to the other, and I’m almost 2000 miles an oil change. And the Recall has not been repaired.
I was really wanting to order the new RR sport for my wife, but after this experience this may be my first and last Land Rover. Really breaks my heart.
