TERRIBLE! We bought a new 2022 Mazda 3 on 03/12 and drove straight home, My wife is a professional auto detailer and requested that the car not be washed at the dealership as she didn't want the car to go through a carwash. While washing the next day my wife found two chips in the engine hood, a dent on the driver side hood, and the wheel clear coat damaged. This was obvious shipping damage, The chips are in the middle of the hood on opposite sides same spacing, and there was no inclement weather to warrant the hood dent. (We do have pictures with timestamps) My Wife returned on Monday and felt that she was disregarded when speaking to the salesperson, hinting at road damage. I spoke with the new car sales GM Jeff on 03/15 he assured me that he would contact me to arrange an appointment for no-cost repairs with a loaner while our car was being repaired. On 04/12/22, I received a call that our license plates were in and were mailed to us, (keep in mind we have heard nothing regarding the vehicle damage to date) The temporary plate did not have any protection on the back of the cardboard which resulted in the bumper being scratched from the staples. On 04/22/22 I received a call from James Brewer following up on our new car buying experience, I explained about the damage and total disregard in which we were treated, James knew nothing about the car damage and assured me that he would follow up, James did follow up,. My wife dropped off the car in 04/27, I received a text the same day stating that the screws on the license plate were antitheft and they could not be removed without a special tool, (they are normal hex screws) My wife dropped off the tool to remove the screws on 04/28. On 04/29 I received a call that the car was ready for pick up. when my wife arrived at the dealership the wrong paint color was used on the engine hood, the driver side hood dent was not repaired, the license plate cover was in the front passenger seat, different screws were used on the rear plate, and the wheel damage was worse than the original damage, Obviously, we did not except the car. It's now 05/15, We have not heard a thing back from Mazda since 04/29 no update on repairs NOTHING! We have emailed weekly asking for updates no replies, left voice messages with Mr. Brewer, but again no response. I Understand that people are busy but not even a courtesy call with an update is unacceptable, This is a brand new car and that we received damaged, and would like to have it repaired as soon as possible, the impression" we made the sale, let's hope they go away" comes to mind. I hope that is not the case.
An odometer reading was taken when we dropped off our car with 1,582 miles, now the car has 1,622 miles. Not understanding why our car was driven 40 miles?
We now have a 2021 CX-5 loaner received with a "service due soon" light now a warning light comes on with "service past due" the thing is a gas hog that needs to be filled up weekly.
