Just one problem after another - jim
Purchase:
Lots of "I don't know".
Proximity key (auto lock/unlock), memory mirrors, radio on/off. No follow up.
Asked about Miata luggage rack and golf club holder. No knowledge and no follow up.
I checked with parts and they looked up that only after market are available for both luggage rack or hitch.
Purchase: Was given the Costco price. Was told to take out a loan and you would give me more for the trade in which we agreed to.
Closing: The loan lady said a couple of things that gave me some concern. She said she was here to help us as the sales folks lie as all they want to do is sell you a car. After she asked if we had children and we said no, she said that she keeps asking her husband if she can take the kids to the lake and drown them (not funny even in jest).
Follow up:
It took over an hour for your folks to figure out that the parking brake had to be on to install Android auto.
We did not get any documentation on the Nav system. We asked and were give a book from 2013 that did not match the system we have. Still waiting on a Nav book.
When we picked up the car, we saw a 1 inch scratch on the fender. I had to wait 18 days for an appointment to get the scratch fixed and the paint and interior coating done. Brought it in for the paint scratch and coating and it took nearly an hour to get it dropped off and get a loaner car. The loaner car was very dirty, smelled badly and had almost no gas. When I asked how long the car would be in, I was told "I don't know, maybe 3 or 4 days". Follow up: dropped off Monday morning and got it back on the next Monday afternoon (on Thursday was told Friday, then on Friday told Monday - complained and was told Saturday afternoon, on Saturday afternoon was told Monday afternoon). On Monday I was called around 12:30 and told he was leaving very soon and would bring the car to me. I called back after 4pm and asked where the car was. He dropped it off around 5pm. The car was now broken. The button on the door handle would no longer unlock the car. Once in the car, the system gave a message "Keyless System Malfunction". This should have been noticed by at least one of the several folks that drove the car. Brought it back in on Wednesday at 12:30 to get the keyless system fixed.
When asked if I liked the new car, I stated that the Nav system was poor. Response: No one uses it. Just use your Android auto. I did not like that the mirrors are not memory even though one of your sales folks said they were. No response. I complained that the voice recognition system was terrible. Response: They all are. The Ford F150 I traded in, had a voice set up system and it worked quite well.
We are still waiting on documentation on the Nav system.
When I met with the general manager, all he could say was: look, we have received the presidents award 4 years in a row.
