Where to start. - Very Experienced Auto Customer
Where to start. Short is "Run don't walk AWAY from this dealership".
They utilized every "used car salesman" trick in the book. Start by advertising one price that is different when one gets there too look at the car. Then tried the bait and switch. Always the high pressure of got more people waiting to buy this car. High pressure of this price is only good for right now. Then the back and offer and counter offer with the "sales manager" - you know where the salesman goes out of sight and takes a coffee break just to make you wait. During this process is the constant shuffling of numbers between actual price of vehicle, trade value, payments, extra stuff like extended service agreements. I have to agree with the other reviews that say "they are energetic about the process", but it is purposely made confusing so one can't tell the exact price of anything. Energetic isn't good.
While waiting they offered us all sort of drinks and snacks and even sandwiches making it sound like they complementary, only to find out they were actually chargeable and outrageously priced.
After HOURS of fake negotiations, the paperwork came back for signatures and as other reviewers have noted the overall price had magically gone up $2000. Dealer handling, delivery fees, and some stupid made up other thing. Apparently they had hoped we wouldn't notice.??!?
For some stupid reason we made the mistake of purchasing the car anyway. Then the new issues. They had agreed to do certain services to the car but getting them actually done was like pulling teeth.
Then the final big mess up. We never got the paperwork. Realize the temp tags were expiring. Calling them they said they mailed it to a certain address. Drove 4 hours to get the mail from that address and it wasn't there. Went into the dealership where they "suddenly" realized they had never mailed it because one of their people had been sick. Now it is only days from the temp tag being expired, no way to perform all the stuff needed in time and they refuse to get us another one. Temp tag. Their solution, "just explain to the policeman why you have an expired tag". ZERO real concern for their customer. Contrast this with a Toyota dealership in New Mexico where we had issues getting paperwork transferred to Colorado to get a permanent tag. They issued a temp tag remotely and sent it overnight FedX to me. That is customer service.
