Incoming: Essay My experience at Bergey’s Kia of Wilkes-Barre was a step above the rest. I have purchased a good handful of cars in my life and this has to be one of the smoothest transactions I’ve ever had. I reached out to every dealer that I found had a ’22 Niro EX Premium incoming from Florida (where I live) all the way up the east coast. My goal? A purchase at MSRP and no funny business. Of the dealers I called there were only about three that were not doing market adjustments and Bergey’s Kia was one of them. After speaking with Rich Tokar and confirming the 0-markup and availability of the incoming Niro I quickly put a deposit down. Rich, although he wasn’t a sales associate, kept me up to date every step of the way. I will say I likely pestered him with regular checkups on the status of the car while in transit until it arrived. He was very patient with me and understood my excitement, never once showing a sign of displeasure in dealing with me. Once the car arrived I was handed to sales associate Gary Ottaviani. Gary provided me photos of the car, corresponded with me about financing, and coordinated delivery of the vehicle. I flew up about a week after and Gary was awesome enough to meet me at the airport. We exchanged pleasantries and he drove me to the dealership. On the way we discussed the 50th anniversary Thunderbird he had just purchased (and we were riding in) and other things about each other. Once we arrived at the dealership I met with Rich and we exchanged greetings and discussed the trip up. It was great to put a face to the name! I was quickly shown the vehicle I had waited months for. Gary and I discussed getting it all set up before leaving and before I knew it Angelo, the finance manager, was ready to do my paperwork. Everything was smooth as butter. There was no pressure to purchase any options however I did land on purchasing the maintenance plan for my Niro. I felt like it was reasonably priced (and to confirm it I called my local Kia dealership and asked them of the expenses to do each of the maintenance items the plan covers-- the plan offered by Angelo was only about $150 more, which over six years I considered the convenience worth it). Angelo was very professional and had me in and out within 20 minutes!! Gary met with me after and we got set up for access on the Kia Uvo app then we were good to go! I bid everyone a farewell and I was on my way! Like I said, super smooth transaction, exceedingly friendly staff, no games, just honesty and integrity. 5 stars all around, higher if I could.

Todd Smith and Bob Palidora were unceasingly conscientious and vigilant in working to get us a 2022 cayenne turbo SE, a car that is extremely rare and difficult to obtain in the current market environment. I could write a short essay on all of the obstacles that had to be overcome in order for them to get this car to us, which involved prepping it and getting it to us from Philadelphia to San Francisco. Suffice it to say, they showed patience, good humor, and steady focus overcoming numerous obstacles that occurred in the process, none of which were their fault. I give them and this dealership the highest possible recommendation.

These guys are very professional. I bought a 2019 Cayman GTS from them in 2019 and Scott was great to work with and it was a seamless transaction. I am back on the market now for a 911 and though we have not been able to work out a deal they have handled the situation with grace and it is VERY appreciated. I have been in contact with other Porsche dealers in North America and they have not been as graceful in their approach. Covid has taught all of us a bit about how people respond in difficult situations. Sewickley has remained the same great dealer despite the difficulties of business today.

As a wannabe first time Porsche customer, I was thrilled to find my dream car on the lot at Porsche Mechanicsburg,PA. After a simple series of texts and calls the amazing sales staff set up and arranged all necessary paperwork. Within 5 days I took the drive up and was treated to a moderate showplace of a showroom, fitted with a personalization studio and merch store (also online). Greg and the team assisting him (so many names) presented me in the extravagant and fancy white glove delivery. They took photos for me and showed me around the car like any customer. That’s the thing, I’m not their top customer -for that matter- I possibly bought the cheapest 911 they’ve ever sold there. It’s 21 years old, 40K miles and just under 30K$. An amazing deal fairly or below market price. So that’s why the amazing delivery process nearly took my breath away. I got the same treatment as a customer buying a new 6-figure vehicle. That’s quality delivery of service from a great dealership. As a courier I buy lots of cars, and often -but far and away the team at Porsche Mechanicsburg made me feel special. -Jacob Ciccolella
