My car went in to get a repair. I was told it would be ready in 2-3 days and that they ordered the part. In 2-3 days, it wasn’t ready, but they told me it would be ready the next day. This happened 5 more times over the next 2 and a half weeks while my car was getting repaired. Every time I’d call, they’d tell me it would be ready the next day. The manager did reach out to tell me that one of the part was faulty which delayed the car being repair and that they wouldn’t charge me for the faulty part. When the car was finally finished and I went to pick it up, not only was I charged for both the faulty part and its replacement, but the car also had 3 new issues. They tried to tell me the car went in with those issues. Two mechanics who specialize in VW’s have confirmed the new issues are most likely from the repair being done wrong. I’m still trying to get in touch with the service manager so they can fix these issues.
To their credit, they did offer me a discount for the repair taking so long, though I haven’t saved any money since the discount came out to less than the cost of the faulty part they charged me for.
