I took my VW in for service and when I checked in I approved all service and they provided me with a quote that included all fees and taxes. When the service was complete and it was time to pay, that price had risen by $35 dollars. I prefer using the dealer if the price between the Euro specialty shop and the dealer are close, but this experience is going to force me back to the independent Euro shop in the area. It's a shame this dealership is willing to lose a customer over $35. I'm not saying that you shouldn't use this dealership, but just want everyone to be warned that this could happen to you.

I am very disappointed in this dealership. I have been dealing with the SAME issue for over a year now. The EPC light and the ACC lights continue to come on. When these two lights come on eventually the check oil level light comes on. I have spent $4057 dollars trying to get this issue resolved. Most recently I sent almost $1300 in April of 2022. Five days later the warning lights came on again. July 8, 2022 I paid $976 to replace crankcase breather and spark plugs. I also had an oil change. Sticker in car says I should not need an oil change until July 2023. Nine days later the two warning lights came on. I called to complain but David said he had never seen those two warning light come on together. I went to the service department Friday so they could gauge the oil consumption as they asked me to. Told me I didn’t need an appointment. Everyone was too busy and told me to return Monday even though I live 80 miles from the dealership. Guess what happened last night. Yep, the check oil level light came on AGAIN just three weeks after a complete oil change. I continue to have the SAME issues. All they do is experiment then charge these ridiculous prices knowing the problem(s) still exist. Seriously considering calling WRAL and the BBB. Sad thing is that it is documented in their system that I continue to have these recurring issues. Past time for me to leave VW alone. Time to mo e on to another brand D. Hunter

I've wanted a golf for as long as I can remember. I've watched as the golf has evolved and changed. I used to visit the dealership when it was in North asheville and test drive but never felt as comfortable as I did with Brendan Burgess who made the difference. Within an hour we had my car picked and details clear. He was open with all questions, even when I texted after hours. If you want a genuine person who will listen and be there with all questions you have go to Brendon.

Purchased a new Hyundai Santa Cruz from this dealership I wrote a lengthy review on surecritic which was taken down since it wasnt great. I will keep this short Pros - Sales process - They listened and adapted to their potential buyer. Stephanie knew her cars and did a really good job of working with me. Clean dealership - Uncomfortable chairs but nice interior with water and snacks for those who have to wait (via sales or service) Gas - Full tank provided So-so - Finance - In spite of me paying cash, I had to wait more than an hour to see the "finance" department. Once in, the process was simple, reasonably quick and no hard sells Negatives - The car was delivered with a set of scratches on the gas door. It was not seen by me or sales (pre delivery) prior to delivery. I found it at the first fillup. Apparently it was done either at delivery prep or at receipt from the mfg I had to take the car into a local (to me dealership) for a checkup on the crash avoidance system not performing. Upon returning the car from my local dealer, I was updated on the crash avoidance system and was told they went in and changed a bunch of settings that Pecheles did not do. Apparently, upon receipt by the dealership, they are supposed to reset some settings to get the car ready for test driving and delivery. This was not done. In spite of requesing not to be spammed with email and phone calls the dealership continued to insure i would post my review on surecritic and they wanted 5 stars. All you have to do is follow the money. They are compensated more when 5 star reviews are posted, whether the deserve it or not. Apparently begging is not beyond them in their search for more money. If begging doesnt work, then those below 4-5 are removed as mentioned above. It took a very uncomfortable call from me to sales to call off the dogs. Blocking their calls and emails in addition to requesting sales help has fixed the problem. All the things that happened after my initial review of 3 stars is why i knocked it down on my review here. Because my review was removed i am going to post this to other sites to let everyone know that some website rankings dont actually reflect reality. I know everyone knows this but thought it was worth mentioning again, using a real life event.

POOR Service Department - Atlas

Late review from service appointment that occurred in July. I sent my wife in for the service appointment due to my not getting off from work. She requested the tires be rotated and the clerk attempted to charge 39.95 contrary to the internet advertised price of 24.95. I called and spoke to the service manager and she reduced the price to the advertised price. After my wife came home from the appt, I reviewed the paperwork and realized that there was a recall on the second row seat for the buckles not securing that was not complied with. The invoice stated "that the customer was aware that there was a recall and will reschedule at a later time." (At NO time was my wife notified that there was a recall.) I called the service manager, Beverly Garten, again and spoke to her about the recall and why it was not done which she stated was an oversight and it was a simple visual inspection. When I asked if I could bring it in again in the near future, she stated I would need to make an appointment. I told her that I would not be making another appointment at her dealership for service. I have since had to drive to FLOW VW WILMINGTON and have had impeccable service. Don't waste your time at National VW with their incompetent staff. BTW, I was not asked for a review of their service afterward.

Lost Customer - Mark Pederson

WOW, I was waiting for this survey. I had an appointment at 2:00 on Wednesday to get my oil and filter changed on my 2017 Passat. I got to your shop about 15 minutes early. I sat outside because of this virus going around. I did not have a issue with that. You had benches set up outside. The first issue I had was after i had walked in to tell your guy I was there and I wanted my oil changed. I asked if they could check my front end because it made a clunky noise when I first starting driving and turned to the left. I said that the car had 35,000 miles and I know your warranty policies of 3 and 5 years. He guy came outside and said that my car was out of warranty (3 years, 36000 miles November of 2019. Now that made me mad. The technician has to pull off the plastic skid plate to change the oil and also has to drive the car into the shop, and put it on the hoist. They guy said he would have to charge me $65.00 to look at it. What a joke. Second issue was at 4:00 another guy came out and told me that he check on my car and find out what was going on he said he would be back in 15 minutes(car had been there 2 hours so far). At 4:30 the same guy came out and said I needed a cabin filter and wipers and asked if I wanted them changed. Gee, do you think what I said? NO!!! He said he would get the car washed and back in 15 minutes. Car pulled up in front at 5:00 30 minutes later. Now the positive thing was you didn't charge me labor. WOW 3 hour oil change, and I saved about $10.00 for labor. Can't wait to schedule another appointment. NOT!!! Wurst customer service that I have ever had. Mark Pederson
