The sales and service team at Kalispell is second to none in my opinion. I live in Maryland and drive 2600mi to purchase from them. Josh Palmanteer was my sales rep and he was absolutely amazing. He helped me get the car I wanted and was very patient and considerate working with me.

They listed it for sale two weeks before actually paying me, for 5k more than they bought it back for. Bryan said it's his car now and he can sell it for whatever he wants, and "what is in the past is in the past." I complained to BBB. They did not respond. Have now complained to their corporate office.

Never again.. Before I get roasted for this, I understand the mistake I made in purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership. I will explain.. I was not in the market for a truck until 2 days prior to taking a 3 week trip with my camper when the truck I had planned to use developed emissions issues and could not be repaired in time. So, I instead planned to trade in a 2021 Ram 2500 with the 6.4L (gas) for a 2020 2500 6.7L (Diesel) available at this lot. Upon initial inspection and test drive, everything seemed fine. No major issues beyond a small dent on the edge of the tailgate that had pulled the paint and was touched up. Walking around the truck several times, there were no noticeable issues. I made the deal. I should have recognized the red flags to how many times the clear carfax was referenced.. The next day, when I was in the bed of the truck, I noticed the roof of the cab. It had numerous hail dents, some were baseball size. I took pictures and sent to the salesman immediately. He did acknowledge the pictures but had little to say about what we could do. I said I would be in when I returned from my trip in 3 weeks. When I returned, I was basically told I was a liar. The sales manager said, "There is no way we missed that damage in our inspection", when obviously their was a way they missed it. Any suggestion I made to validate the pictures as prior damage were not acknowledged. I asked if they seriously believed this damage occurred in the 24 hours that I had the vehicle. No response. I explained, If this were true, they would also have to acknowledge that I put on a new hood, windshield and everything else? No comment to that either. I honestly believe this was a turn and burn. They knew what they were selling and passed the loss to the customer.. me.. the sucker. The result is, I will pay for a truck that was sold at market value knowing it valued less with this damage. Yes, I should have checked the cab before I purchased this truck and when I get my next one, I will but it will NOT be at this dealership after they failed to look at the facts and put 100% of the expense on me.

Without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had at a car dealer. Went in to see about purchase of a new car and since they didn't have any, they pushed used cars on me. Salesman and finance person did not know the advertised price of cars. It was in fact a little odd and kinda scary how they acted. I wouldn't set foot in that place again or any dealership under the Butte Auto dealerships. It was comparable only to a sales pitch from the carnival people at the fair. very poor. Avoid.

These guys were absolutely fantastic! I’ve been so put off by anything that has to do with buying cars, expecting to only deal with people trying to make a buck, but when we came here, it was anything but. Our salesman, tom, treated us with the upmost respect and walked us through every part of the process from looking at cars, to a test drive, to making sure we were well educated on our options. He was upfront, honest, and made sure we were finding the car that was best for us. The general sales manager, Shawn, worked with us to make sure we had the absolute best financing options to work for us, even though our circumstances weren’t the best. We came into the dealership thinking we wouldn’t be able to drive away with a car for another month, but they found us options that worked for us and we were able to drive away with a 2018 Crosstrek that fit our budget the very next day. These guys couldn’t have helped us out more. When you’re looking for your next car, go to Subaru of Missoula, and you’ll walk out feeling like you didn’t have any regrets or questions. And, if you can, try to talk to Tom, we couldn’t have had a better salesman!

I want to express my deepest appreciation to Max Ricci for his professionalism and efforts to locate a Certified Pre-Owned Audi A6 with very specific options on it. I came from Colorado to Billings; MT seeking to retire and obtain my dream car. I went to Audi - Bozeman and was greeted by a very nice person who referred me to Max because he was currently with a client. Max took me on a test drive because I had never ridden in an Audi before, but heard a lot of excellent things about them. Wow was I amazed! The A6 was exactly what I wanted but could not afford a new one. Max immediately began looking for what I wanted. I would like to start off by saying that Megan is great! She is the reason for the five stars regarding the buying process. She was the sales person for the truck that was purchased. With times being what they are right now we wanted to purchase a vehicle in the community and purchase from a smaller dealership as well. The truck that we bought was a $35,000 truck. We bought the truck on Thursday and by Tuesday the tailgate was not working. Went back into the dealership and they basically let us know that it was our problem now! After speaking with a few people about the treatment that was received after the purchase, we are now concerned with what else might show up with the truck. If you want return customers and potential referrals, at least pretend after four days, that you stand by the vehicle you are selling after the sale!

Do not purchase a car at Elk Mountain. We bought a 2005 3500 GMC Sierra a little over a month ago. I thought I could trust them, because I knew the owner, Bob. I was told by Todd the sales person, "our mechanic checked this truck out and it is a very good truck." Based on what happened after we purchased this truck, there is no way that a mechanic checked out the truck. Before purchasing, I had my boyfriend scan the truck and look it over first. The scan came back good, but little did we know, the truck had been deleted and a different tuner had been installed. The codes coming back were from the original tune. The very next day after purchasing it the nightmare began. The vehicle was having issues, so we took it into Kolar Tire. They were able to bypass some of the installed tune and determined 7/8 injectors were bad. Bob, the owner, agreed to only pay for the injectors, but on the condition that my boyfriend do the 2 days work it took into installing them. We also agreed to pay for the new PCM it needed it, too. Unfortunately, because the truck had been deleted and a different tune had been installed, we lost considerable power after the PCM and new injectors were installed. I tried for weeks to get the name of the tune installed and was told that the previous owner said that he had left the control/programmer to the tuner in the truck when he turned it in to Elk Mountain and didn't know what the tune was. Todd said he would try to find the control in the shop. He couldn't find it. For over 2 weeks I tried to get this resolved and just got the run around. In the mean time, the truck has needed the following, which cost us a lot of money: drive train, water pump, hydro booster, front end work, transfer case seal, fuel pressure regulator and valve. We paid a mechanic to do the hydro booster and water pump ($1,500), and my boyfriend did the rest of the work (29 hours worth). Meanwhile, we had to cancel over $1,700 worth of delivery orders for his business. After 3 weeks, I was able to find a mechanic who could bypass the delete and install a new tune. I asked if they could at least pay for the $375 to install the new tune. This was over a week ago and I still have not heard back from them. We bought this truck for my boyfriend's business. In the last month, because of all of the repairs needed, we have lost a considerable amount of income on top of the $2,845 put out in parts/repairs. If we had to pay for a mechanic to do all of the repairs we would have put out an additional $2,775 for a total of $5,600.

I was very disappointed with the service at grimes. I did my research, looked up many possible loan choices & prices for the vehicles I was looking for. I saw on grimes motors website an add for a vehicle. I looked into the vehicle & financing through their website & through phone contact/email contact. Offered me different prices for the car. After receiving an offer of 11,700, I said that was too high, I was shooting for around 9500. Private party value for the car was a little over 9,000. It had low miles & it seemed fair but if they couldn't do swing it, that was fine I didn't need a car. They came back to me & said they'd meet me half way and do around 10,500. I said it was unacceptable & they said okay we'll work with it, just come in for a test drive the next day. I said okay I'd be in at 10 the next day. Next day rolls around and I showed up at 9:45 and I come to find out the vehicle is in the shop supposedly getting a headlight fixed. Well fine, I take the test drive, it goes pretty normal and I come inside to talk about pricing, they don't remember quoting me the half way mark. At this point most of my contact had been with the clearly short tempered and snobbish salesman named johnnie. Well they bring out the big boss & he comes in offering me roughly a grand over what I want to pay, back to the 10,500. I say no I can't do that and book is only over 9,000 and if you can't do that, fine. Well the big boss gets up in arms and says "we aren't a retail outfit, we don't sell things at cost" and also claims book is around 13. Well I called him on it and he goes into his office and brings out a sheet of paper that is a NADA suggested retail price of an excellent condition trailblazer. Not private party and not good condition. The vehicle had several things broken inside the car, it had a few knicks and scrapes, but was in overall good condition. Upon receiving the piece of paper, I was told "i Ican see we can't do business" and they started pushing in chairs basically telling us to leave. They even had the nerve to demand the printed out book value paper back. Later I was stewing over it so I once again looked up on it & faxed over a copy of exactly what I was looking at along with a note explaining that I wasn't pleased with the way I was treated. Well I get a phone call 5 minutes later & instead of apologizing, I get "Well my boss told me to call you." speech which means he wouldn't have called to apologize anyway. Then he proceeds to argue what options I put on to find that number. UNBELIEVEABLE. No appologies, just more arguing and more confrontation. If they had just said, I don't think this vehicle is in your budget, you want too low a price and suggested a lower vehicle, that would have been fine. Instead I get rude service from the bottom up and a pretty good sized headache. I did wind up purchasing a 02 trailblazer for the price of 7889 and it did have higher miles but I was treated fairly and with respect.

Very shady for how large this dealer ship is. SO many problems its hard to even list them all. First off the transponder key they gave me with the car looks like I got it at a garage sale, lock button missing. Spare key they included doesn't even work, if you unlock the door it sets off the alarm, if you try to start with the spare the anti-theft system shuts the engine off making it worthless. The car (2005 Dodge Magnum R/T) needed an alignment job when I test drove it. The salesman was nice enough to take the $200 off that the alignment would cost. When my mechanic was doing the alignment however they noticed that the cradle that the front end sits in was removed and put back in crooked, causing the car to go out of alignment very easily. When I approached them about it the salesman got defensive and said that it could have easily been missed. Upon getting a report of all the work they did to it after it was traded in, it showed they did an alignment, no notes about the cradle being out of whack. Which leads me to believe their inspection/alignment process is a joke, or the mechanic they had working on it did this. After bringing it back in to have their "head" mechanic look at it, they assured me that it was fine after he did yet another alignment on the front end(a record for a precious alignment job brings the total to 4 alignments done on the front end in less than 6 months). Other issues would be the fact that there was still dog hair from the previous owner in the rear area after they had cleaned it 3 separate times. The "MP3/CD" player wont play MP3 cds. The tachometer doesn't work. Between my test drive and buying it, a chip appeared in the windshield and a ding above the driver's door handle. I had to ask 3 times for the print out of the work they performed on the vehicle. And finally, because they shop around for financing, I started receiving financing rejection letters. Not something you expect to get after driving the car off the lot. In the end, I am very happy with my car, but very displeased with the customer service after the sale and would not recommend anyone buy from them. I know I certainly won't buy from them again.
