In April of 2022, we were on vacation in Oceanside, CA and we were visiting family in Oxnard. While we were there, we decided a Costco visit was in order. We were heading over to Costco in Oxnard (or wa and we were visiting family in Oxnard. While we were there, we decided a Costco visit was in order. We were heading over to Costco in Oxnard (or was it Ventura) and suddenly heard and felt this horrible metal screeching. At first, we thought it was a car carrier loading up the car ramps and dragging them on the car carrier frame right next to us, except, there was no car carrier anywhere to be seen. When then realized, the noise was coming from our rear right quadrant of the vehicle. We pulled over, drove a bit, and all of a sudden, as quickly as the noise showed up, it was gone. A quick inspection around the wheel and under the car found nothing amiss. Still, 350+ miles from home and 140+ miles from where we were staying made us hesitant to ignore this. We searched for any nearby Acura dealership and Google led us to Gold Coast Acura, in Ventura, Ca. (though I thought we were in Oxnard) We drove up to service, on a Tuesday afternoon. We were me by Randy B. We began to explain to Randy what had transpired as well as sharing dash cam video of the noise. Randy immediately identified the noise to be what he suspected was debris, gravel, or a pebble had made its way in between the rear rotor metal guard and the rotor itself. His experience shared was that he had seen this issue before in other vehicles. They said it might be an hour before they get to our vehicle and we could wait while it was looked at. Within one hour, they had looked at the vehicle, found the metal guard had been bent out of shape slight (possible by debris forcefully entering as he suspected), checked all around, found nothing wrong, and said we would be safe to continue on our way. Not only that, they also washed our car for us (coming down I-5, we had amassed quite a trophy case on our windshield of bug carcasses and bird xxxxxxxxx. Everyone at the dealership was so very nice. The facility and bathrooms were clean. The weather was windy and nice. Best of all, except for an hour to check over the vehicle and wash it, we really weren’t inconvenienced at all and Randy and Gold Coast Acura had us back on our way in no time to continue our vacation. Wish we lived closer because our next Acura would probably be purchased at Gold Coast Acura. Thanks Gold Coast Acura and Randy. More
This dealer has the worst customer service possible. They posted a vehicle online that I inquired about. They reached out to me asking when I would like to view the vehicle. I tell the salesman Franc They posted a vehicle online that I inquired about. They reached out to me asking when I would like to view the vehicle. I tell the salesman Francisco that I will come tomorrow, Wednesday morning, due to me coming from LA County. I live 10 minutes away from Knotts Berry Farm. He proceeds to tell me it may not be available as they have a lot of people inquiring. At the time it is around 2:15pm so I tell him I understand if it's not available because I won't be able to make it for at least 2 hours due to traffic. Francisco is persistent on me coming to see the car. I tell him look bro, I have a newborn with me, if I come and the car is being sold to someone else I'm going to be pissed off as it will essentially be a waste of my time and my gas. If I come it's because I'm leaving with the car. Francisco then tells me don't worry bro, if you're coming I'll make sure the car leaves with you. I pick my oldest son up from school, get in the car with my family including my newborn baby and head out. I arrive at 5:07pm. About 20 minutes later he comes and greets me to show me the car and says we'll get going on it. I say great thinking I'm the only person there. Ha! Boy did he play me! As I'm about to test drive it he comes out and says someone got the car. I said what? All he says is I'm sorry. I tell him I just drove 2 1/2 hours here because you told me the car would be mine if I came and now I'm here and there was not only 1 person before me but 2 people before me waiting. Super inconsiderate and unprofessional. The same way he text me his information he could have texted me when I was on the way and said hey 2 people are here and are going to take the car. I could have easily turned around. Instead he let me come all the way there knowing I had no chance in getting the car in the first place. Typical lying salesman. I don't care if they had the last car on earth, I wouldn't buy from this dealership ever. Their employees clearly need better training. More

I've never had someone's lies cost me $5500 until yesterday 12/28/21. Kudos to your top notch team for earning a spot in my record book. I bought a used Chrysler 300 with a clean Carfax from them bac yesterday 12/28/21. Kudos to your top notch team for earning a spot in my record book. I bought a used Chrysler 300 with a clean Carfax from them back in December 2015. During the document signing I asked them what the "prior taxi" document meant and the finance guy Chris brought the sales manager Matt over. He proceeded to tell me, "the previous owner had started the process of converting the car to become an Uber Black driver but traded it in for a Yukon since it wasn't eligible." He assured me it wasn't a big deal and that they'd get it corrected with the DMV. They took a couple months to get it squared away, but I was convinced all was well and continued to drive the car for many years oblivious to the fact that I had paid "market price" for a vehicle worth a fraction of comparable vehicles. Fast forward to December 2021. I got some online quotes for my car and found a truck I was interested in. The initial trade in offer was $14,500 and I was ready to roll. They then do a thorough review, pull a carfax and vin report and tell me it is a prior taxi and also has a reported accident from 10/1/15... at this point I was floored because they chopped the offer to $9000 saying they had to sell it wholesale as they couldn't sell it on their lot with its history. They intentionally deceived me and got full price for a discount vehicle that would never have typical value down the line. Quite the con. What a shame since I really felt like I was well taken care of at the time of purchase. I've lived in Ventura for 30+ years and have always been proud of the community and people within it. More
