The first time we visited Acura of Troy for replacing the car battery we had a good experience, so naturally we decided to return when we wanted to install a hitch on our Acura. Over the phone we were quoted $690 for parts and $600 for labor. We payed for the parts and returned a week later for the install. That's when the problems started as now they said labor was going to be almost double the original quote (over $1,000). When I inquired about the discrepancy they denied giving us the initial $600 labor quote and kept asking over and over again "well who did you talk to?". We do not tend to transcribe our phone calls so that lead to nowhere. We were not comfortable with this new almost double price so we declined the service and tried to return the parts. They refused the return. Also, no shuttle service if you need to drop off your car and go somewhere and don't have a driver. Finally, the service manager assured me that they will respond and deny any wrongdoing put forward in my review. Unfortunately, we will take our business somewhere else from now on. More

Terrible customer service! First, I had an appointment for 4 pm for a recall on my vehicle, and when I came to the dealership they said it was scheduled for 3 pm, but it wasn't because when I called they for 4 pm for a recall on my vehicle, and when I came to the dealership they said it was scheduled for 3 pm, but it wasn't because when I called they said the earliest time was 4 pm. Second, The person that I was speaking to at the dealership didn't present himself nor who he was. He only presented his first name which was Martin. On top of that, Martin was kicking me out and saying I was a bad customer when I wanted to leave a review about their service. Third, he didn't want to say his full name and didn't have a badge. Fourth, he said I was abusing him and was kicking me out again. Fifth, he and the other representatives didn't offer any other dates on which I can come to reschedule my appointment nor did they apologize for the inconvenience. They also didn't remind me in any way about my upcoming appointment or even send a confirmation. Also, I ordered a part from them a few months ago and paid for it and they kept and still are moving the ETA further and further from the original date. Their service department was very rude and unprofessional, especially Martin. I'll never come to this dealership again and don't recommend it to others. More

I have four Acuras between myself and my father, have been going here for years and consistently get the worst customer service in the service department that I have ever experienced. Service department: They don't have loaners. I bought 2021 rdx from this dealer. I called for a service appointment but they don't have loaners available. This is not the first time it happened. As always very bad experience. Brent was the name of the rep who first scheduled the appointment later called saying no loaners available for a month and cancelled the appointment. More

Over the phone t have 2019 Acura RDX. Acura sent an email about a recall for the fuel pump. To replace it I called Acura Troy and had my appointment. Over the phone they told me that I need to have half a tank or less gas in my car at the time of the servicing. So I went there on my scheduled appointment. Well I had more than half a tank of gas at the time. However I did not think that it would be a big deal to drain the gas to replace the fuel pump at the fully equipped service center. But they told me that they can't accept my car for servicing because of the fuel level. I was pissed and I left, and called another Acura service in Roseville. They told me that it doesn't matter how much gas I have in my tank, they can still change the fuel pump without problem. Then I got more mad at Acura of Troy for not accepting my car for servicing. Because I took a whole day off from my work to go to the service. I called back the Acura Service to ask how in the world it is possible for the service in Roseville be able to change my fuel pump no matter how much gas it has in it but it is not possible for these people in Acura of Troy to change my fuel pump. The person over the phone told me that it is a safety issue for the technician, he tried to give me an analogy by giving example of how some people wear mask and some people don't wear it. What does it have anything to do with wearing mask or not wearing it. Bottom line I felt like because this was a recall, as a customer I was not going to pay money therefore it is a non-profit job for them so they did not want to work on it. And give excuses of safety to justify how they can work less and make the customers mad. In my opinion they don't care about their customers. More
