The salesperson, Greg Henry, treated me with respect, was honest and patient while working through my deal while not trying to over-pressure, which I have never experienced from other car salesmen before. I highly recommend going through him for you vehicle purchase. However, when signing loan and purchase docs, the finance guy was condescending. Saying things like "with credit like yours" in a very condescending manner (when I have average credit only a few points away from good credit and excellent income), and "I can tell people like you won't buy extended warranty so I won't try hard and I already sold alot today". Salesman made my experience wonderful, finance guy tainted it for sure.

I was headed to McCall from Utah on a trip last week and had truck problems. I stopped into this dealership as my truck is a Ford and they are a Ford dealership. Lindsay Walcker in the service department was AMAZING, helpful and a calming influence at the time. She was able to quasi diagnose the problem, was hospitable and suggestive with solutions and made "vehicle problems" less problematic. The other people on the staff that I interacted with were great as well. Great service staff from my experience!

My husband and I are very pleased with our experience here at Woody Smith Ford. I am a student here at the university, my husband works full time and we just had a baby. We came prepared with what we were willing to spend, what type of car we were hoping to find and also had a down payment in mind that we were willing to put towards the car. We were greeted by Austin the salesman who took us outside right away to look at some cars as requested by my husband. We took a test drive in the 2008 Acadia previously owned by an elderly women who traded in for a smaller SUV. Austin was very polite and held conversation throughout the test drive. The greatest thing was that this car was the car my husband and I had been following online (we browsed online before coming to the dealer, way helpful, highly recommend). We decided to go with the purchase of the car. As college students/starting family we didn't have that big of a budget with nearly no credit, but we were happy to see that Woody Smith Ford was able to make a reasonable deal with us that didn't break our bank! Austin took the time to listen with us, get to know us and was able to relate to us. He followed through with the sale and kept us in the loop while we were waiting for the banks approval. We had to gather everal peices of info for the bank that we weren't prepared for, but Austin helped us locate those sources by giving us internet access while coming up with ideas ok what we could give the bank. This was our first experience financing a car, and overall it was not intimidating, or overwhelming! I would highly recommend coming here, regardless of age or experience with buying cars! Before living in Rexburg we lived in Seattle Washington and have had less positive experience with bigger dealerships in bigger cities.

Tried to do business with these folks and was ultimately disappointed. Could not come to an agreed upon price for the used (3,200 miles) vehicle we looked to purchase. The claim was that Ford considers anything under 4K miles to be new-really? It wasn't new. It was driven for 6 months and showed some minor wear. The manager would not budge on the other vehicle either. I talked to an out of state dealer that trades back and forth with Rokstad and Rokstad refused to send them the other vehicle i was interested in buying once they found out it was me trying to buy it even though they 'are a good trading partner' according to the out of state dealer. I suspect that since the out of state dealer does deeper discounts it would have reflected poorly on Rokstad's manager not wanting to lower their price to make the sale to me, so they simply refused to supply the vehicle to the dealer which was willing to discount more deeply. I guess that is their way of preventing me from getting the vehicle i wanted--they were going to show me by golly. OK, so I went to out of state to another dealer and made a cash purchase and am glad i did.

This was the best car buying experience of my life. Very little back-and-forth. Found the price online along with many high-quality pictures. I drove up to Preston to find the truck and price just as described. The salesman and I settled on a price that I was very happy with and then the dealership honored that price. Very little hassle, no attempt to up-sell me on crap products like window etching, nitrogen filled tires, extended warranties or anything else. Just a straightforward deal and out the door. It literally took less than half an hour for me to show up, do the paperwork and walk out the door with my new vehicle at the out the door price agreed upon and with the interest rate I expected. The general manager, Dave, was fantastic. He personally responded quickly to a concern I raised and corrected the problem immediately. I couldn't be happier with this dealership.

My regret is I went in to buy a truck from this dealership during a time when I shouldn't have, however, we NEEDED IT. After weeks of shopping and comparing prices, I found a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ at this dealership. They were asking way too much to begin with, almost 20K. I negotiated with them and they will not go below $17,500 which is still above and beyond the book value. Anyway, I was getting tired from shopping and I was told it was clean!! So I went in after work, I get off at 5pm. I darted out of my house and made it to Soda Springs at 6pm. Because I am a considerate person, I took their word for it, and it looked beautiful. I test drove around the town with a hustle since I am keeping them late (Big Mistake). Also I didn't check every little detail like I should, thinking (They are asking way too much for this truck, but it is still cheaper than the other options I was considering (RAM), it must have gone through their shop right? Wrong. So I go sign the paperwork like an idiot on 07/21/22, but before I do I asked Denika the sales person, a few questions, and she knows nothing about the truck, the back up camera was not working, so I asked her why isn't it working? She kept pushing buttons on the mirror and it turned on. I figure maybe I need to play with things and everything is working fine? When she handed the keys she didn't know what all of them were for except for the ignition and the Tonneau. Anyways. I proceeded to the finance office, and asked about extended warranty, and the one they offered was terrible. It gets better, I drive it home and bring it up to speed, it shakes. We smell strong coolant coming into the cabin by the time we get home. The rear DVD system doesn't work (One does, the other doesn't when we clicked it, we clicked the one that did work, lucky us, but the main one that DVD's goes in does not even turn on). Then I push the power folding Mirror, one folds, the other doesn't. Engine light came on. I call them the next morning, freaking out, and wanting to return it, I get told by Jodi the Finance lady, NOPE. Work with your sales person. I reach out to Denika, she ignores me. Then when she responds, she said that they can look at the shaking and coolant because that is a safety issue. However we are very busy (of course) hit it and quit it. We agreed for me to drop it off on Sunday 07/24/22, and they will look at it Monday 07/25/22. I dropped it off Sunday, and come Monday, I hear nothing. So I get anxious, and I text Denika, no response. Then later I get a text from Colton in Service, telling me they will look at it later and they are two weeks out. Days go by, and it's the end of the week already. Then Denika gets back to me on 07/28/22 to let me know they finally figured out what was wrong (Radiator leaking). Then she waits all day to tell me what the plane is. Then I ask a few hours later, Any updates? she replied "They are still looking at it and for the parts." At this point my patience is running thin, so I reply, "Can't you guys just take the truck back and unwind this deal? This is getting ridiculous to be honest. It's taking a week to figure out what is wrong with it, and I don't know how long to find the parts, and then however long to actually fix it. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE YOU LISTED IT FOR SALE! I NEED A TIME FRAME PLEASE. No response from Denika. Then on 07/28/22, I got a response that they got all the parts and they should get it done by Thursday 08/04/2022!!! Long story short, I got the truck back and none of what they said they fixed was fixed. Power folding mirrors still not working, neither the DVD player nor the radiator reserve look like it was flushed to put the new one in. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE...I beg you, I am trying to do you a huge favor by paying it forward. Learn from my mistakes, be smarter than me. Buy your peace of mind and don't let what is supposed to be a joyful experience by buying something new, even if it is used, a horrendous experience, because it will be. Also watch for their generic, cheesy response.

Bought a vehicle used Jeep based on pictures from the internet and on the verbal from Paul sales guy the car went through a complete inspection...could not go look in person 400 miles away. Picked up the vehicle on our way to daughters wedding and hooked to our RV. When we finally got to destination I went over the whole car and found out the rear seat center seat belt would not retract...safety issue and the driver door and rear driver side door locks not working. Paul emailed me and called to follow up and see if I was satisfied...6 days later (after our daughters wedding) I told Paul about the 2 issues...reply...sorry car is as is and we won't help you fix those items...goodbye. Granted I bought as is...I know what that means...but safety issues should never be in question. I am going to file a complaint with the Idaho Consumer Protection Unit and ID DMV unit that issues dealer licenses...I think they will be interested in knowing that Tadd Jenkins Ford in Blakefoot is selling vehicles with safety issues.
