My daughter's Ford Focus would not start. - LongTimeFordOwner
My daughter's Ford Focus would not start. On Sunday, we took the battery down and had it tested and found it was bad. The gentlemen at #Autozone was really nice. He noticed that the battery was under warranty from Ford and advised us to take it to them to replace it. I went to #mckieford this morning to get a new one. I was told that it needed to be in the car. Okay, not happy, I went back and put the battery back in her car and was luckily able to get it jumped. We drove back to McKie Ford and I explained the situation. The person there told me I needed a receipt for the battery. I don't have the receipt because the battery is original to when I purchased the car. I have never asked a car dealership for a receipt for a battery when I made a purchase. #mckieford refused to honor the 100-month warranty on an OEM part from Ford Motor Company. So, the next time you buy a new car from any Ford Dealership, make sure to get a receipt for all the parts that may be under warranty, because they will not honor their warranty without it. Shame on you!
