The Power Lift Gate (PLG) was not working properly on my - Donney
The Power Lift Gate (PLG) was not working properly on my 2015 Santa FE. I called Sterling Hyundai Service to have it diagnosed. They said "bring it in this afternoon". I did. THREE Hours later... was told the right PLG strut need to be replaced. Paid over $600 (in advance) and was told 7-10 days for the part to come in. Twelve days later, "I" called and was told it has been in for three days already. Perturbed, I tried to schedule an appointment to get it installed (another over $300). No one in service would answer (after about 20 rings). The next day I called Scheduling directly and was told the next available appointment was 1.5 weeks away. Though I was upset, I scheduled the appointment. Seems to me if your business is overwhelmed 1. Hire more competent people or 2. hire MORE people. The part is overpriced as is the labor . BUT, if I'm paying for the convenience, I would expect prompter and more consistent customer care. I won't use Sterling Hyundai again. I believe this is not the way to treat a (overpaying) customer.
