Our experience at FIAT of Van Nuys was the complete opposite of the negative reviews posted on yelp*, and we're sorry that those before us did not experience the same courtesy and professionalism we we opposite of the negative reviews posted on yelp*, and we're sorry that those before us did not experience the same courtesy and professionalism we were shown. How? Mainly because Michael Passage (Fleet Mgr) promptly responded & answered my wife's specific inquiry about a new 2012 500 Sport model w/ only 17 miles! The other dealers (OC FIAT, Duarte, MotorVillage, Power & Irvine) were either giving us the run-around or were vague or did not have the model my wife wanted, so we decided to make the 30 mile trip to this dealership on my wife's positive vibe & courteous email correspondence w/ Michael. If it wasn't for his honesty (I know, sounds like an oxymoron for a dealership), we wouldn't have come to FIAT of Van Nuys. A little background on Michael Passage. He's lived in Europe and is Indonesian-Dutch. Why is this even important? Because of his prev. living experience, we feel he has a better sense of conducting business with customers, and because of his mixed ethnicity, he can certainly relate to many Angelenos. Michael was recently brought in by FIAT to 'fix' things & turn around this dealership's negative perception & attitude and the past bad experiences w/ customers. Niko, the finance guru, worked his magic on getting a bank to finance us. Kudos to him too. Total time spent at the dealership was a little under 4 hours. My wife purchased a new 2012 500 Sport w/ the Convenience Package. They washed the car before handing the keys to my wife. They filled up her gas tank. And before driving off, Michael helped my wife sync her iPhone through the Fiat's audio and gave her a quick 101 on all the little nuances of the car, i.e. - how to lift the lumbar portion of the front seats because it's a bit tricky to access the back, reminding us to be careful NOT to put too much weight on the driver's armrest because they have a tendency to break, the passenger B pillar can hinder visibility when changing lanes, and enabling certain driver settings for my wife. I must admit, I haven't written many of these reviews before. That said, I felt it was imperative that I write this review about Fiat of Van Nuys. I realize they may have had a rocky start, but that is before. That said, I felt it was imperative that I write this review about Fiat of Van Nuys. I realize they may have had a rocky start, but that is all about to change thanks to one key employee, Michael Passage. I actually purchased my car from Michael when he was working at Motor Village. I met him when the first 500's came to town and was so impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. I decided to wait for the Abarth, so a year and a half later I contacted him and made the deal that day. (He even remembered me and my wife!) When I found out he moved to Fiat of Van Nuys I decided to take my car there for service. Like Michael, their staff seem as equally enthusiastic about the Fiat brand and very knowledgable. My service experience was flawless and it was nice to be able to catch up with Michael in the sales department while I was waiting. I look forward to working with Fiat of Van Nuys in the future and I hope their reputation improves now that they have hired some expert and caring staff! More

This is my first FIAT and I'm having a great time with this car!! I am a customer service supervisor and I am very critical to customer service that I receive. This experience has been great. More
After reading negative reviews on line about this FIAT Dealership my wife and I decided to go ahead and buy an Abarth from FIAT of Van Nuys. Carlos assisted us on the phone and invited us to come over to Dealership my wife and I decided to go ahead and buy an Abarth from FIAT of Van Nuys. Carlos assisted us on the phone and invited us to come over to appraise our trade in and the next day we were ready because there was no pressure at all the previous day plus everybody was very helpful! The day after when we came back we met with Michael Passage and he explained that this dealership has been through many managements and now he's part of again a new management he is convinced that this time it is the right one with the right team! Very knowledgeable and passionate about FIAT and so was Carlos, both men deserve a 10+ and both my wife and I are glad we made the right decision! Thank you FIAT of Van Nuys!!! More
A year ago I was in the market for this cute mint green FIAT 500 and went testdriving it at Motor Village LA and met up with Michael Passage but I had a job offer in Toronto Canada so I had to postphone th FIAT 500 and went testdriving it at Motor Village LA and met up with Michael Passage but I had a job offer in Toronto Canada so I had to postphone the purchase. A month ago I came back and couldn't wait to take delivery of my FIAT and was kinda disapointed Michael wasn't at Motor Village LA anymore and moved to The FIAT of Van Nuys Studio and that's where I went, no matter what the negative on line reviews say, Michael is the reason why I wanted this car only for the way he treated me last year, without trying to up sell me a Lounge or Gucci but just what I needed, an entry level with automatic transmission. The guys at FIAT of Van Nuys know what they're doing, Niko asked me if I liked Michael Jackson and as soon he found I did he played "Beat it", got introduced to Uncle Leo who offered me cookies baked by his wife and Donna in finance was great too, no pressure just trying to make me leave happy :-) Thank you Michael and your team !!! I purchased my 2013 Fiat Pop yesterday and have to say my experience at this dealership was GREAT! Steve was an AWESOME sales guys. He was not pushy and had a fun personality. Niko, the manager, was also AWE experience at this dealership was GREAT! Steve was an AWESOME sales guys. He was not pushy and had a fun personality. Niko, the manager, was also AWESOME. He was ready to make a deal with me and there was no BS back and forth. Donna in financing was very pleasant to deal with and the paperwork was fast and easy. Michael was also friendly and welcoming. I did a lot of research about what I wanted before I even went on the lot to deal with a sales guy. I also put a big down payment and have excellent credit. I knew what car I wanted and what price I was willing to pay. And yes, while we would all like to think we can get some magic pie in the sky deal, let's face it, it's probably not realistic. After comparing car prices on-line at various dealerships, checking Edmunds, I had a figure in my head that was my max. I got exactly what I wanted, at the price I wanted, and at the interest rate I wanted. I've been to other dealerships where the sales people are pushy and not will not budge on the car price. This place was AWESOME!!! THANK YOU FIAT OF VAN NUYS!!! More
I have been VERY disappointed in the quality of service since I bought my Sport at Fiat of Van Nuys in July. It has been one hassle after another, and some of the most pathetically unprofessional behavior since I bought my Sport at Fiat of Van Nuys in July. It has been one hassle after another, and some of the most pathetically unprofessional behavior I've ever seen in a sales context. 1. The sales person who first "hooked" me was a fried-looking, gravelly-voiced older woman who stank of cigarettes and was covered in pet hair. She cracked sex jokes and seemed to have a limited understanding about spec/tech details of the car. I know, I should have walked then, but this was one of few studios in my area. My options were limited. 2. When I finally signed the papers, I asked for the 2nd (spare) key. Which is standard, and essential to my situation as my boyfriend and I share a narrow driveway and have to move each other's cars a lot. There was no 2nd key. They tore the studio apart looking for it, I was at the dealership until 9pm trying to figure it out. They said, "we'll send it to you." 3. Over the last 4 months, I have called the dealership maybe a total of 8-10 times asking about the 2nd key. I would speak to someone different each time and be promised something different each time. It became almost like a game; I'd call about every two weeks and repeat my story and I'd get another name, and the following week that person would no longer be there or "wasn't in." YES I spoke with several "managers," a different one each time. On every call, I've been calm, cheerful, concise, clear and articulate. There's no chance they couldn't understand what I was after. One time, I even called the 1-800-FIATUSA # and did a 3 way conference call with THE FIAT rep and a "manager" at this deslership who promised to call me back.........and never did. 4. One of the times I called, I swear: the phone was picked up by a male who sounded DRUNK. He was slurring his words so badly I couldn't understand a thing, and he giggled and hung up on me! I am not making this up. 5. For a punch line, FINALLY a female who answered the phone seemed to actually care about my situation. She actually called me back. She apologized profusely for all the runaround I'd been getting, and made an appointment for me to come in to get the 2nd key programmed and resolve the situation. Yay! 6. Boo! I drove the 35 miles to the dealership on my day off........and found this: - they didn't have the proper cables to program my key -the mechanic who was to do it called in sick -the dealership/studio was in pieces, with construction debris everywhere, so they made me go down the street to the old Chrysler service desk, where no one knew what I was talking about -the slimy "manager" at the FIAT studio was very obviously sick, blowing his nose and coughing all over everything. When he found out I'm a nurse, he seemed more interested in asking me what he could do to feel better instead of helping me. Then, he went outside to smoke a cigarette. Wow. 7. A seemingly sympathetic mechanic offered to drive to my house that upcoming weekend, leave me a loaner, drive my car to the Studio, program the key and drive it back to my house himself. We made a deal of it and exchanged cell#s. 8. I canceled plans and waited all day that Saturday for him and he never showed. I called the dealership again, and his cell, and neither #picked up. 9. As a side note, my credit union is bugging me for the new title and registration info. It's been almost 5 months and nothing from the DMV has shown up, no plates, no title, no nothing. I have been in contact with Fiat and Chrysler corporate to try and resolve my problems. That all being said......I LOVE THE CAR!!!!!!!! Go to Motor Village of L.A. and AVOID Fiat of Van Nuys like the PLAGUE!!!!!! More
